HAS YOUR DRAMA BECOME YOUR IDENTITY? - Divinart

Has Your Drama Become Your Identity?

Sometimes we carry old wounds from the past that keep us stuck in struggle—unable to move forward, or worse, unable to shine our light.

Over time, we don’t just carry these wounds.

We attach ourselves to old stories and replay them because they explain our pain. We slip into victimhood not because we want to suffer, but because it’s familiar.

At some point, we stop seeing the wound as something we’ve experienced
and start wearing it like a badge of honour.

It becomes how we relate to the world—our shield, our mask.

It becomes our identity.

But fear and drama don’t protect us, and frankly, no one is truly invested in it—your victimhood, or your suffering. People either see right through it—or, if they’re carrying the same wounds, you simply become their mirror.

You reflect back what they’re not ready to face in themselves.

And beneath all of it—beneath the stories, the coping, the masks—there is a truth that often gets overlooked:

Nothing is broken.

You are already whole.

As are they.

Drama drains you.

It exhausts your energy and the energy of those around you. It keeps you anchored to the past and deflects the very things trying to reach you—clarity, connection, peace, possibility…

So what if you stopped identifying with the wounds and trauma of the past?

What would your life feel like without the weight of old identities and emotional armour?

What if ending your suffering didn’t require reliving it—but gently releasing it, one layer at a time?

One key at a time.
